Initial thoughts about traveling with baby

Some initial thoughts about our experience traveling with Mika.

Plane Trip

  • Bring only one toy, one book and one snack. We brought several of each and Mika barely used any of them, they occupied precious space for nothing.
  • Cold medicine works great as a sleeping drought. Yeah, I donīt like the idea of drugging my baby either, but she did have a runny nose and for some reason she kept waking up while sleeping in the plane. After I gave her the cold medicine she slept great until it was time to get ready for landing.
  • Donīt bring the jackets with us. They were a pain in the butt and we didnīt really need them.
  • Tray tables may good sleeping surfaces. But babies sometimes rather sleep in their motherīs arms.

    Around Town

  • Our car seat worked well for the long remis ride, at least once we put it on, but itīs a pain in the but to put on for short taxi rides. Weīve been holding on to her and praying.
  • Our Peg Pérego Pliko Trek stroller has worked great in the really broken La Plata sidewalks and cobblestone streets, sometimes itīs a little hard to get over the holes but all in all itīs done well.

    Nothing more for now.
